У меня сегодня две новости (обе хорошие)
1. Мученикам висты посвящается:
Windows Vista Service Pack 1 официально доступен на 36 языках, включая и русский.
т.е. кому надо можно уже загружать :)

2. Новость: Asus наконец то выпустила обновленный 3EPC,
под названием Asus Eee PC 900.
- экран с диагональю 8.9" и разрешением 1024 х 600.
- процессор Celeron M ULV на 900Мгц (было630, разблокировали множитель :))
- чипсет серии i915G
- объём оперативной памяти возрос до 1 Гб.
- внутрений диск стал либо 12Гб с XP либо 20 Гб с linux.
- батарея увеличилась ёмкость с 5200 до 5800 мАч.
- блок питания был на с 9,5 вольт, теперь: 12 В.
- вес увеличился с 920 до 990 гр.

therm: Massive Response
INTRO: придумал я тут развлекушку, бездельник что с меня взять (см. аватар).
Итак берется некий термин и смотрится инфо по нему картинки например, допустим в Google Images, Yahoo или Getty без разницы.
Затем выбираются прикольные картинки фразы и составляются в некоторой комозиции с претенией на безсвязность.
Итак первый блин:

Список исправленных ошибок в системе безопасности сообщает о трех устраненных проблемах в данной версии программы (подробнее).

Windows Live Writer: медленный запуск
На большинстве современных конфигураций запуск блог клиента: Windows Live Writer занимает очень много времени.
Причина в службе проверки обновлений данного приложения.
Ваш Windows Live Writer будет стартовать намного быстрее:
- запустите Run (windows+R)
- напечатайте services.msc - запустится апплет управления системными сервисами.
- найдите "Windows Live Setup Service" и заблокируйте ее.
- это все.

Ubuntu servers were hacker's zombies
Ubuntu software maker - Cannonical had to shut down five of the eight of its servers after receiving reports that they were attacking other servers. (i.e. they are zombied by hackers)..
With the offending servers out of action, Cannonical called for probation reports and found that the servers had a variety of problems.
Not only had the servers not been taking their security patches, which tends to make most servers a bit aggressive. There was a marked disparity between themselves and other posher servers.
A Cannonical spokesman said that it was not surprising that the servers were feeling disaffected and socially isolated. While other servers in the Linux world are regularly upgraded they had missed out because there were problems finding drivers for the network cards. (I can't belive in it ;) network cards is the hackers! LOL :)
